Recycling, Organics and Residual Waste Bins
Bins must be placed out on the kerbside for collection the evening before your scheduled service day or by 6:00 a.m. on the day of collection.

Bin not emptied? First, you need to check that a service sticker has not been placed on the lid. This sticker may provide information as to why your bin may not have been emptied. The sticker also provides instructions on how to rectify the problem in order to have your bin collected.
Your bin may not have been collected for one or more of the following reasons:
- Incorrect bin type presented (check your Calendar North/South for your correct bin collection week)
- Bins not placed on the kerbside by 6:00 a.m.
- Contamination (unacceptable items in your bin)
- Too heavy for the truck to lift (maximum 80kg)
- Overfull (lid must be closed)
- Items jammed, preventing the bin from emptying completely
If there is no sticker on your bin advising of any reason the bin was not collected, it may have been missed. If your bin has been missed you must advise us within 24-48 hours. Once reported, your bin will generally be collected within 2 working days of receiving your request.
On-Call Household Cleanup Collection Service
Booked Cleanup items must be placed out by 6:00 a.m. on the day of the scheduled collection, but no more than 24 hours before. Collections occur between the hours of 6:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m.
If you beleive your booked Cleanup has been missed, first check your letterbox for a Non-Conformance Notice (NCN) which will indicate why your matreials may not have been collected. The notice also instructs you how to rectify the problem. If there is no NCN in your letterbox, the service may have been delayed or missed. Please keep the missed materials out on the kerbside and report the Missed Service within 24 hours of the scheduled collection date. Collection of your missed Cleanup will occur within one (1) working day after it has been reported.
